Program Description
The Orange County Consortium District Intern Program serves county public school districts by offering an alternative Education Specialist (Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities) Credential Program. The program's mission is to educate novice teachers to become reflective practitioners committed to continual professional growth. The program integrates current theory and best practices to foster the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. Intern teachers are supported and instructed by a community of professional educators including course instructors, practicum supervisors, an academic advisor, and a school-based peer coach. The program's clientele are fully-employed teachers with a K-12 self-contained special education assignment. See the file Orange County Consortium School Districts.
